Rabbi Yonah Bookstein

Rabbi Yonah Bookstein is a widely respected Jewish leader, educator, and community builder whose work has strengthened Jewish life across campuses, communities, and international settings. As the founding rabbi of Pico Shul, director of Shabbat Tent, and a leader in Jewish communal renewal, he has dedicated his career to inspiring connection, spiritual growth, and a deeper sense of Jewish identity. His leadership has helped engage diverse Jewish audiences and empower younger generations to take active roles in Jewish life and advocacy.

Rabbi Bookstein brings to JEAF a rare combination of visionary leadership, educational depth, and broad communal influence. With experience spanning global Jewish renewal, campus engagement, and innovative community-building, he offers a powerful voice for the importance of making Jewish education accessible, meaningful, and lasting for families and future generations.

Organizational Leadership

Jon Kaweblum

Jon Kaweblum is an entrepreneur, coach, and organizational leader committed to helping businesses and nonprofits grow with greater clarity, accountability, and purpose. Drawing on his own journey from architect and entrepreneur to EOS-focused coach and community activator, he has dedicated himself to helping leaders build healthier organizations, strengthen teams, and create systems that support long-term impact.

Jon brings to JEAF a strong passion for mission-driven leadership and operational excellence. His belief that nonprofits can better serve their stakeholders through stronger processes, clearer vision, and effective accountability aligns closely with JEAF’s mission to expand access to Jewish education and build a stronger future for Jewish families and communities.

Alan Levine

Alan Levine is the CEO of Hasbara Fellowships. In his role, he has been involved in training over 1,000 pro-Israel leaders on campuses and has spoken on over 25 college campuses.
